Plans from international business information specialists, Collabro group, to continue their expansion into the United States market have received backing from a senior Conservative member of parliament.
Francis Maude, Minister for the UK Cabinet Office, yesterday visited the firm’s Aberdeen office to identify means by which growing enterprises can continue their success on a global scale. This backing comes as key members of the government visited Europe’s oil and gas capital to ensure that North Sea energy firms can continue to meet growth targets.
Mr Maude stated that the expansion would bring substantial benefits to the firm’s global growth: “Growing, ambitious businesses like Collabro are crucial for our long-term plan to build a stronger, more competitive economy. Sharing expertise between the private and public sectors will mean we can support innovative, dynamic SMEs to deliver public services in the UK, to win contracts with the private sector and to grow their businesses internationally as well.”
Collabro director, Janice Grant-Shaw, announced that an expansion into the US market is a likely next step for the company: “Encouragingly, we are continuing to pick up a lot of new clients across a range of different sectors worldwide, not solely in oil and gas. Around half of our revenues are generated through exporting to foreign markets and we thoroughly expect this figure to swell over the next 18 months. On the back of a number of recent contract wins and meetings with prospects – across our offices in the UK, Malaysia, and Australia – it is looking very likely that we will launch an operation in the United States later this year. Our business is all about helping companies to share data efficiently to streamline their business – the level of understanding on why this is important is continuing to grow.”
Collabro group has operations in Aberdeen, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Perth, Australia. The firm was formed in the UK as a limited company in 2003, as a result of a management buyout from LOGIC, a not for profit organisation set up by the UK oil and gas industry to manage cross-industry supply chain collaboration and competitiveness. Listed on the UK government’s procurement service, G-Cloud, Collabro also provides flagship product Vantage POB – a personnel on board logistics system. Since the firm’s inception it has expanded its services and product portfolio globally, including the recent launch of Legare – a Primavera project management integration tool. Collabro JGS FM Small
